New Book Club for 2020 – January’s Read

Book Club 2020 - Our January Book Club information and more info on how to join the book club! So many great books will be chosen.

Hi guys! Emma here. I’m so excited to be announcing that I’m bringing back the Book Club! We had one for about 6 months in 2018 and I loved it, but my mom was a bit overwhelmed with the extra reading. ;)

Now I’m bringing it back with a vengeance. Many of you may know that I’m a HUGE reader & read a lot personally. My main goal for 2020 is to read over 60 books! I’m actually part of 2 other book clubs.. one in person near me and one online. I think it’s so fun to discuss books with others and it makes me more introspective as a person.

I’m particularly excited to see what books you all are interested in. Of course, Fiction is probably the most popular genre but I read EVERYTHING. I’ll be picking the first 2 books for January and February and then in March I’m thinking we could hold a vote to see which book everyone is interested in? So excited.

I just started a facebook group for this book club (Click here!) where members can discuss each month’s read, but it’s also a place to find updates about the book club, reading suggestions, new friends, and more. The MAIN discussion post for each month’s book will be on this blog & in the comments. I’ll add my thoughts and then open it up to everyone else in the comments for more discussing!

So I’m sure you guys are excited to see which book I picked for this month.. and hopefully you’ll like it! I wanted to start off the book club with a thriller/mystery book that I knew people would find interesting. (So many book clubs are starting off the month with self-help & I wanted something a bit different.)

January’s Read: The Wives by Tarryn Fisher

Book Club 2020 - Our January Book Club information and more info on how to join the book club! So many great books will be chosen.

New York Times bestselling author Tarryn Fisher delivers a pulse-pounding, fast-paced suspense novel that will leave you breathless. A thriller you won’t be able to put down!

“You’ll have whiplash until the very end.”—New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.

Synopsis: Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She’s never met them, and she doesn’t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she’s so crazy about him. But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married. What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you’ll ever read.

“Nail-biting, heart-clenchingly good.”—New York Times bestselling author Alexandra Torre

“[A] lightning-fast plot.”—Kirkus

“Suspense fans will be rewarded.”—Publishers Weekly

“Some sharp twists.”—Booklist

This book looks REALLY good & pretty juicy.. It just released mid-December. SO excited to give it a test-run. Head anywhere where books are sold to pick it up. Click HERE to shop the book!

I will be posting the main discussion post for The Wives on this blog at the end of the month, but you are welcome to discuss further on the facebook page. If you finish the book early, please refrain from posting any spoilers! Click here. :)

What are your thoughts? Are you excited about the book? Let me know in comments below or in the facebook discussion group.

xo,
Emma

I am already engrossed in this novel. I find it to be a real page-Turner. Actually, I am simultaneously reading the secondary novel for January: After the end. Another page-turner. Looking forward to the following months of main and secondary novels.
