Do you like to create bucket lists? Every season Jeff and I love making a list full of things that we want to accomplish that are themed perfectly for that time period.. Jeff is a great sport and usually loves my ideas (or at least pretends to be excited.. Love that!) We try to keep the list at a realistic length because completing everything is really important to me. It’s amazing what making an actual list does for pushing you. I normally break the list down by each month and like to keep it theme based. Below I’m sharing our Holiday bucket list. So many fun activities to look forward to in December. :)

1. Enjoy The Great Outdoors More
One of the things on my December Bucket list is to get outside more.. While I love staying in and getting cozy by the fire it’s always nice to make an effort to get out, take a long walk or tackle an endurance type of hike during the winter months. I love the smell of winter.. This may sound simple but with all the rain we’ve been having we need to make it a priority or we’ll never go out. This weekend we hiked a local trail that sits right beside our neighborhood and we loved our time outdoors.
To keep us cozy while outdoors we picked up some new winter wear this season.. we’ve been living in them nonstop! It’s been super cold recently and our new jackets/pullovers from The North Face have come in handy. We’ve loved this brand for years and because California is a year-round outdoor activity filled state, North Face products can be found everywhere. Our family owns many pullovers, jackets, scarves, winter boots.. & more.
One of the things I love most about The North Face is it’s quality. Everything washes beautifully and still looks brand new after years of wear. Another plus is that almost all North Face products have a lifetime warranty – meaning that if something breaks.. you can ship it back to them and they’ll fix it.. So great!
For our hike I wore one of my favorite styles – the silky, soft fleece jacket! It’s so cozy and perfect for everyday wear.. not only for the outdoors but also running errands and more. I love that it’s stylish and comes in 4 colors too! So cute. Click here to shop this jacket.
I paired my jacket with one of my favorite cozy accessories, the mega fur pom beanie! This beanie is a new arrival from North Face – really warm and adorable. It comes in 8 color options making it the perfect gift! Click here to shop the for pom beanie.

Jeff always runs warm so he loves wearing the 3/4 zip lightweight fleece during the cooler months. The fleece he’s wearing is super affordable at just $59! 8 color options to pick from as well. It fits TTS but I would always size up a size if you like an oversized fit. Click here to shop Jeff’s lightweight fleece.
We’ve rounded up more of our favorite North Face winter wear and snow clothes below! Everything is a family favorite and perfect for the long cold season ahead.
2. Bake Some Holiday Goodies with Emma

Emma and I LOVE to bake – especially during the holiday season. Last year we made adorable 3D Christmas Tree cookies that our entire family loved.. this year we’re excited to make something new! I’ll make sure to share what we bake.. :)
3. Watch Our Favorite Holiday Movies
We have a list of holiday movies the we LOVE to watch each year while sitting by the fire.. many of which include ‘The Holiday’, ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, ‘Home Alone’, ‘Miracle on 34th Street’, ‘Elf’, ‘The Santa Clause’, ‘The Polar Express’ and more! What are some of your favorite holiday movies?
4. Christmas in San Francisco

We love to spend a day or two in the city celebrating the holidays.. it’s such a magical time of the year in San Francisco during December! We usually go ice skating in Union Square, have lunch at the Rotunda in Neiman’s (overlooking the huge Christmas tree outside in Union Square), and grab a cable car decked in holiday lights!
5. Celebrate Our Anniversary Somewhere Special
Since we had a December wedding (one week before Christmas to be exact), we love to celebrate our Anniversary in a special way. Last year we went to Maui & Napa and had a beautiful time! Click here to see my Maui Travel Diary. Click here for our Napa Travel Diary. This year we’re planning something fun with my sister and her husband. They also have a December Anniversary. I can’t wait to share more of that soon.
6. Make Homemade Fudge & Toffee
Every holiday Jeff whips up several batches of his homemade fudge (from a recipe passed down through his family) and delicious toffee! We love making this each December to give as gifts… so good!
7. Visit the Snow
I’m not a huge skiier/snowboarder but I love relaxing in the lodge with a hot toddy by the fire.. ;) We’re definitely planning to make it up to Lake Tahoe at some point during this holiday season. It’s not only relaxing but so gorgeous with all the snow and lights.

Hi Kristi, im from The far nOrth and iT gets sUb zero Cold there so nOrthface has always been my go to outErwear and polar fleece aS well. I have collected scarves, gloves, mittens, muffs, kneck protectors, full face fleece, hats, jackets, Snow boots, ski gear, ice skating gear, gear for snow mobiling and outdoor wear during sub zero weather. I doNated a ton of it since im in a warmer climate but every now and then it gets cold here in Oklahoma. northface lasts forever and yes, it washes Up well so its worth The hefty price. Thank you for your bucket list, great ideas Kristy!
We are spending our anniversary and Holiday on the coast of North CAROLINA. We do this every year. We love walking on the beach this time of year. We will be making cookies this weekend. I like to give our mail carrier a batch. She delivers no matter the weather.
Love this! We’ve always done yearly goals (bucket list) but i think making them smaller (ie seasonal) will mAke it more Attainable because you don’t keep waiting to do it and next thing you know the year is gone! ❤️ Thank you!
Kristy, you have a great bucket list. So many fun and nice things to Do. A fire this time of year is A must along with cozy outer wear. I love NorthFace!
Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas! I wanted to know the brand of boots you’re wearing and where I might find them? I live in the San Jose area.
Take care and many blessings!
