There is nothing better this time of year than holiday baking! Our niece came through Santa Barbara on her way up the coast to her parent’s house which made us so happy! It’s become our new tradition, now that we live in Santa Barbara that she stay with us for a night or two on her way through and she and Jeff love to bake. This time around they decided to try a breakfast treat and let me tell you, you’re going to love these pancakes!
These pancakes have all of the sweet cinnamon bun flavor we love without all the hassle of making a dough. We use Krusteaz Pancake mix, it’s perfect because they come out warm, fluffy and delicious every time. We add an apple cider topping which really brings out the flavor of fall, this combination is incredible! It will definitely be a crowd favorite this holiday season.
To take our pancakes to another level we added the cinnamon swirl into some of the pancakes! The sugar cinnamon mixture caramelizes in the pan and makes a crispy sweet crunch that we all swooned over.
The perfect Holiday Breakfast treat! If you are hosting brunch for your family this year you have to give these a try. They are fun, easy and interactive for the kids.

Cinnamon Bun Swirl: If you want to try your hand at a cinnamon Bun swirl, add some of the cinnamon bun butter into a pipping bag (or Ziplock with a cut corner.)
Just before your pancake is ready to flip add a swirl to the top, gently flip and cook as normal. Be sure to wipe the pan clean of your sugar mixture before making a new pancake.
Combine spiced apple cider mix, cinnamon, & powdered sugar. Measure out 1/4 cup of the mixture and set aside.
Melt butter and cream cheese together in a pan. Once combined, stir in your remaining powdered sugar mixture and vanilla. Drip over pancakes or serve as a dip.
Add the 1/4 cup dry mixture to a sieve or sifter, lightly tap over pancakes just before serving.
We hope you give these yummy pancakes a try.. They are so easy and fun to make. The rich flavor is is out of this world — I just know that you and your family will love them as much as we do!
