Sundays have always been my favorite day of the week and mainly for two reasons… sleeping in and obsessing over Sunday home exteriors. It’s obvious why I love to sleep in… the home exterior part stems from driving around with my Mom every Sunday looking at all the open homes listed. I can remember feeling inspired by each beautiful home that we visited and whether old or new, all gave me something to aspire to. The greatest thing about looking for homes nowadays is that we don’t have to wait for open houses on the weekends. We can peruse all we want online, any day of the week. Love that!
I’ve recently discovered the luxury real estate company, Houlihan Lawrence on Instagram. With 125 years of experience and most of their properties situated in the Northern New York city suburbs, they have a wide selection of every type of home available. There’s just something about an East Coast home that makes me happy. The history is hard to deny and the influence is everywhere. Having grown up in the beautiful suburb of McLean, Va., just outside of Washington DC, I treasure these classic styles. With Spring now upon us and a flush of new homes on the market, I’ve pulled together a few of my favorites for you today.
