Happy Monday everyone!
I can’t believe the weekend is already over! Time seems to be flying this Fall… This past weekend my daughter, Emma came home from college and I can’t tell you how nice it was to have clothes and items strewn about in her room. I love a clean house but what I treasure even more are the moments when my house is full of people and things aren’t always perfect. I realized while making Emma’s bed that I hadn’t added pictures of her new Marceline bed from Restoration Hardware. We loved the queen tufted daybed that we originally had delivered but making it was no easy task. This bed is one that Emma will keep for years… It’s classic in style and she loved the linen headboard wrapped in a beautiful wood edge and base. It’s soft and feminine and because she can reach both sides – easy to make. VERY important when your daughter actually wants to make her bed.
Along with this bed I’m also sharing other styles of beds that we considered purchasing. We knew that we wanted a light colored bed and most likely a linen bed of some sort but we weren’t sure if we wanted just the headboard or an entire bed for the mattress to sit comfortably on. In the end the more complete bed with footboard won simply because I love the solid feel it offers over just a bed frame and headboard.
