It seems everyone is sporting a bold patterned rug in their home nowadays. Whether in the entry, kitchen, bathroom or bedroom, these patterned pieces of art are making an appearance and a difference to each and every space. I love the look of a bright, bold designed rug and find that it adds the perfect amount of sophistication and color in so many of the white spaces seen today.

Transitional rugs, a blending of traditional and contemporary styles, seem to make the biggest impact simply because they can be used in so many different rooms in a home. The blend lends a mix of elegance without the formality of the traditional. Transitional is a bit more casual and with the new mix of patterns and colors currently available, their flexibility is endless. I tend to favor Transitional for this very reason.

You’d think choosing a rug would be easy for me knowing the style I favor. Nowadays there are so many choices I still struggle with every rug I buy. It’s always a group effort as I run everything by my family and my friends are used to having to weigh in on their favorite at the occasional dinner party. ;) If it were up to me I’m sure I’d have a rug in every style and color.
I’ve put together a grouping of my current favorite patterned selections that I think you will like… While you will find each rug varies in color and design, they are all beautiful. It’s amazing how much an impact something as simple as a rug can make to a space.
