Happy first day of summer! I’m so excited to show you more of our new barn door from the amazing team at Artisan Hardware. We have been wanting a barn door for so long… Ever since we converted our daughter’s bedroom to a work/ man cave space for my husband, we have really needed a door to separate the Jack and Jill bathroom from his space. Originally we thought this was something that we could tackle on our own but after researching it a bit we decided against the idea. We simply didn’t have the time and we wanted the door to look professionally made and elegant… not a DIY project.
Our home is classic in style so we knew that any barn door added would have to be clean and sophisticated. When thinking of designs for my door I knew that I wanted it to be craftsman in style with the addition of glass windows. Not all companies include this feature. I love my home light and bright… the more windows the better as far I am concerned. ;) When Artisan Hardware reached out to me I can’t tell you how thrilled I was. It was the perfect company to collaborate with on this project as they work on so many custom pieces and after seeing the quality of their work in my girlfriend, Bree’s home below… I knew we were a perfect match.
All Artisan Hardware doors are made in the United States and as a result every door is carefully built with the highest quality taken into account. I love that they use Benjamin Moore products on all of their painted doors. This was important to me as I also have Benjamin Moore paints throughout my home and I wanted the door to blend. The ‘Decorators White’ meshes beautifully with my existing wall color. So happy with the result!
I’ve always been a fan of barn doors and now that we have one in our home I can truly say… I may need another. Barn doors add so much character and elevate every space. All that’s left for us to do is add the gorgeous hand forged door pull that arrived the other day. It’s also in the same oil rubbed bronze finish as the top mounted hardware above. We love it.

I am so thankful… they were right and it’s perfect.
