Madly in love with the new barn door trend that’s popping up in homes everywhere.
I love that people are using ingenuity with something as basic as a door.
I’ve talked many times before about how I love homes that include interesting details in either their architecture or home decor that offer a sense of history or a bit of a rustic feel when included in a space.
Barn doors do just that.
I love seeing a brand-new beautiful kitchen with a surprise element like that of a heavily distressed barn door hiding a pantry.
Not only can the sliding barn door act as a space saver but it immediately makes a kitchen seem that much more modern and dare I say…‘cool’? :)
Interesting that something with a rustic, historical feel can make a space seem more ‘on trend’ but that’s exactly what including a barn door does.
So clever, so fun and so beautiful.
My sister is thinking of adding something just like this to her home and I think it would be an amazing feature…
I’ll make sure to keep you updated when she does. ;)

in place of the kitchen pantry door.

fantastic way to utilize space, as swing out doors are so encumbrance in narrow spaces, I have thought of implementing one for my pantry area. Many thanks for sharing Kristy! You have such wonderful ideas!
