New Kitchen Cabinet Hardware // Modern Matter

Finally – the before and after of my new kitchen cabinet hardware…I am so excited to share this with all of you! I’ve always thought of hardware as the jewelry of my home. I love the way the metals add elegance and refinement to the kitchen and furniture pieces. When I found Modern Matter I was immediately drawn to their style.. they were actually born out of Addison Weeks, a jewelry company. This explains their unique designs & use of semi-precious gems – how gorgeous are they?! I knew this was the perfect fit for my kitchen transformation.

Craving warmer tones in this home I have been gravitating toward brass when it comes to accents. Luckily for me, all of Modern Matter’s pieces are handcrafted from brass so I had a multitude of designs to choose from.

I immediately fell in love with the Lane 1.40″ Custom Knob. Isn’t it stunning? It’s so nice that they have 3 different finishes to choose from: Polished Brass, Antique Brass and Polished Nickel. I was so excited to be able to choose my gemstone.. I’ve always loved Moonstone and that was one of the nine semi-precious stones they offer.

I decided to pair each knob with a Bamboo 1.60″ Backplate to add a little more visual interest. In my opinion, the lane knobs look even more beautiful with these bamboo backplates.. interesting and a little less modern – more contemporary!

I also wanted to order some pulls for the lower cabinets and found a design that incorporates the moonstone, making it the perfect pairing. The Tomlin 4″ Custom Pulls are SO pretty.. I’m loving the sleek look. You can also order the pulls in polished nickel & any of the other gemstones that Modern Matter carries. I love that you can use these pulls vertically and horizontally. This gives you so many options. I personally preferred the vertical for the lower cabinets so you can get a straight-on view of the gem.

After seeing this hardware in the kitchen I decided I liked it so much I included it in the laundry room!! I ordered a few more pieces and I’m so happy that I did. This rooms sit adjacent to one another so it gives my home a more cohesive look. Especially since the spaces are on the smaller side.. helpful to transition easier.

You know how I feel about this transformation but I would love to know what you think! Do you love these beautiful hardware pieces as much as I do? Let me know in the comments below.

xoxo,
Kristy
