Fun headshot at Lamps Plus HQ…
Exciting news with Lamps Plus.. You may remember that a few weeks back, I was in Los Angeles visiting the Lamps Plus headquarters. It was a fun-filled day with 4 other influencers/bloggers (French Country Cottage, Orlando Soria, Roxy Sowlaty, and Lori Dennis) and many Lamps Plus management and employees. Even Emma was able to come, which was wonderful.
I was extended an invitation because I was asked to be one of the Lamps Plus Brand Ambassadors for 2018-2019! I was honored to be asked, because not only do I shop at their store constantly (online and in our local store), but I also have been working closely with Lamps Plus for a few years now as a blogger.
During the renovation of my home, I was on the hunt for so much lighting… sconces, ceiling lights, table lamps, and floor lamps just to name a few. Lamps Plus helped me fill my home’s needs by sending me beautiful pieces that I absolutely love… like the star light sconce hanging in the stair well.. that piece reminds me of the night my husband proposed to me. Lighting as art is a huge deal for me. Click here to see some of the different Lamps Plus lights I have in my home. Below you will find a few of my most recent additions from Lamps Plus…
Click here for my Pink Double-Gourd Table Lamp. I love the calm beauty of this piece…

I love my Polished Nickel Arc Floor Lamp.. it transformed this space. Click here to shop.
As many of you may know, I work with different brands on many different paid collaborations. I always disclose the brands that have sponsored numerous posts – but I am very choosy on my selections. I turn down lots of different partnerships depending on the situations – to make sure it’s a right fit for my home, brand, and lifestyle. Partnering with Lamps Plus was a no brainer.. it’s an organic fit for me.

Day at Lamps Plus Headquarters
This trip was a fun occasion for more than one reason. Not only was it a major high point for me career wise but it was also Emma’s birthday! (We got our nails done and went to dinner to help celebrate)
Our visit to Lamps Plus HQ was a blast… we started the day by taking head shots and filming numerous video content. This was a total first for me. I have decided that I need my own personal glam squad to follow me around for every photo shoot. ;) Nahhh… but it sure would be nice!! The entire experience was fun but also a bit awkward for me.. I like being behind the camera more than in front of it.

While at headquarters, we were given the full company tour with CEO, Dennis Swanson who acted as our tour guide. He founded Lamps Plus in 1976, and still designs lamps to this day. So inspiring to find that it’s still a family run operation and everyone from the CEO on down is involved.
One of the coolest areas that we were able to visit was the 3-D printing area.. we met with lamp designers who showed us the most intricate designs printed on a 3D printer! This gives the designers the ability to quickly make changes to lamp designs, avoid costly prototypes and ultimately make the prices better for everyone. Such a fascinating process!
Another thing I didn’t realize was that all of Lamps Plus beautiful Instagram photos & campaign photos are shot on sets in their warehouse. We found that they actually build these amazing sets and then tear them down in 1 day.. They even built a gorgeous Cape-Cod Style kitchen that I love and need. ;) If only the sink worked! I always thought these were shot in real homes.
A new line that I’m loving is the Lamps Plus Color Plus Lighting Collection. In this section of the site, you can choose the base of your lamp and then the color from 100+ colors! The colors are gorgeous and we were given the opportunity to see them being painted in-house… a rainbow of colors.
Loved getting to see Color Plus in person!

After our wonderful tour, we were wined and dined at the SVP’s home in Beverly Hills… We had an amazing dinner full of great conversation.
The best part? The comfortable atmosphere and family feel. It never felt like “work”.. and that’s one of the reasons why I am so excited to partner with Lamps Plus this year as a brand ambassador.

Look for more exciting posts about more lighting additions I’ll be making with Lamps Plus this year.. many of which will include my outdoor landscape lighting and more. I love the outdoor lanterns I chose for the house from Lamps Plus. We have them outside of each door and flanking the garage.. So beautiful!

Hi Kristy – Love the way your incorporated your favorite items into your indoor and outdoor spaces as part of this relationship. It comes across way more organic and helps your followers decide which items they may want to get for themselves (since we all love your taste!). Question…can you please add your the solar garden lights (the rounded “stick” ones that you have in certain corners)? I can’t seem to find them!
