Emma’s great at a lot of things, but baking is one thing she is fantastic at. Whether she bakes from scratch or a ready made boxed mix, Emma puts her own spin on everything… just like her father. Today’s recipe, the ‘Best Banana Bread’ is all scratch and so yummy.
Emma has always loved to bake and every Saturday morning from the age of 3, Emma would be up bright and early making biscuits, waffles or pancakes with her partner in crime, Jeff. I loved that they had this time to bond while I slept. ;) I’m pretty sure that’s where Emma developed her true love for baking.
Once Emma hit high school, there was no stopping her. Often times I would come home from a trip to find she along with a herd of girlfriends in my kitchen in high baking mode. I am so spoiled to have a husband who loves to cook and a daughter who loves to bake. The best part for them? I love to clean!
Today, Emma came up with the brilliant idea of making Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips. She found this recipe on the internet, here, and it’s one of her all-time favorites. The title is fitting in that it claims to be the Best Banana Bread Recipe. What Emma loves most about it, is that it is simple, quick and you can tweak it any which way you like. With Emma’s version today she’s included her favorite chocolate chip twist but you can easily substitute that with nuts or something else.
Hope you have as much fun as we did making it! Please leave comments below and tell me what you add to your banana bread.

Best Banana Bread Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs (Beaten)
4 Bananas, finely crushed
*Tip from Emma: If you do not have any super ripe bananas, place bananas (with skin on) in the freezer for 20 minutes! Makes them extra ripe, soft & sweet!

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
Best Banana Bread Directions

Just put the banana bread in the oven to cook. The recipe looks yummy and I can’t wait to try it!
Yay!!! Let us know what you think!
The best recipe I’ve ever tried! My mom and I are both bakers and we were in agreement – it was the tastiest I’ve ever made! So delicious and moist. I even switched out 1/4 cup of butter and replaced it with 1/4 cup homemade apple sauce! Thanks for sharing!
So happy you liked it as much as we do! I also switch out the butter for applesauce when I’m trying to be good. ;) Hugs! xo
I love this recipe! Thank you for sharing it. I do tweak it some and thought I’d share.
Instead of flour, I blend organic, gluten-free oats into a flour. Works out beautifully.
Also, Just yesterday I aded 1/2 C pumpkin and it’s also very yummy.
Blessings!
