I’ve had the greatest opportunity to meet the most fascinating and interesting people through Instagram. My new friend, Leah Olson (Instagram – @leaholsonstyle) is a great example and someone I discovered while stumbling upon images of her gorgeous lake home this summer. I immediately fell in love with Leah’s beautiful style and casual elegance.
Leah is always amazing me with her creativity in celebrating every day and every occasion. Her neighborhood is full of homes built between 1900 to 1920. Leah’s home was built in 1908 and is an attention grabbing stucco beauty with a vine wrapped around it’s gracefully weathered body with a red slate roof on top. Leah describes her home as one that’s not large but full of character. Tons of big windows and 12 foot ceilings on both the upstairs and downstairs levels are just a few of the incredible features this home is graced with. I can’t even imagine. She says the house feels so spacious because of it. I’m sure!
Leah feels the home’s charm comes from the many little details many older homes are characteristic of… heavy weighted lead glass French doors between each room and ‘nice old woodwork’. It sounds amazing and any home that’s full of heart and history like this one most certainly is… is a very special place indeed.
Enjoy the many Autumn moments that Leah has captured within the beautiful walls she is fortunate enough to call ‘home’.
Hugs and Happy ‘almost’ Halloween from both Leah and myself!!
