So excited to share my new favorite barstool finds with all of you. There’s nothing like finding the right barstool for your home. This is one furniture piece that can make or break a kitchen as far as I’m concerned. Whether choosing a more practical utilitarian stool for larger families and kids or a more elegant upholstered piece, knowing the style you want is key.
You can dress up a simple kitchen just by adding a beautiful barstool. If it’s texture you need you can either introduce a rattan or a linen fabric to give you the effect you’re looking for. My sister has two (messy) boys so she chose practical wooden pieces to fit their lifestyle.
I spent quite a bit on my barstools years ago…They came from Ballard Designs and unfortunately they no longer them. Luckily barstools are everywhere nowadays and in every style imaginable. If you don’t spend a fortune you can switch them out easily… I think that’s always such a fun and easy update in a home with an active household.
While style and design is important to me… comfort is key. We sit at our island for almost all our meals now and when entertaining the island is a popular gathering spot. I want my friends and family comfortable. Luckily for me I chose stools that can handle my ever changing styles. Except for painting them white from their original black to fit my every changing style I love everything about them. The cane back gives them that light and airy feel and the Louis style is one I’ll never tire of.
