Now that I’ve painted the interior of my home in all white I’m having a field day adding layers to change the look and feel of my home.
Sometimes I simply want to keep things light, airy and monochromatic. When this is the case I add different shades of whites and pair them with others textures to give my home that cozy fall/winter look.
This is the perfect time of year to find an assortment of texturized pieces. It’s all about the look and feel during the Autumn and Winter seasons. Whether using furry throws, woven baskets, twiggy branches or rough pinecones… all are readily available and easy to find. Elements such as these add so much more interest and complexity to a space… something that I love.
While adding anything to my home I swing back-and-forth on favoring the unique vintage style pieces to the more traditional. I can even appreciate the cleaner more modern styles if I am being honest. My home is a happy combination of every style and look. There’s ‘something for everyone ‘ and if you stay within the same color scheme while decorating…the conventional rules of decorating don’t always apply. I love that… It’s all abut the mix. :)
Your home is gorgeous. What color white did you paint in your home? love the white.
Thanks so much Carol! I used Kelly Moore’s Swiss Coffee everywhere as it was already in my home. It’s a color that is neither too warm nor cold. :) Have a great Monday! Hugs!
