Now that Spring is upon us, I’m finding myself reaching more for fun colors and patterns while shopping. If you know anything about me than you’re already aware of how much I love this time of year. I live for the warmer months when layers become lighter and what one wears is more appreciated by everyone. No more winter coat and large black tote to hide behind. Instead this is the time that I gravitate toward dresses and sandals and my all time favorite spring/summer accessory… the straw bag.

The straw bag is a classic. Having made a resurgence in the fashion world over the past couple of years, straw bags are everywhere you look. It’s obvious to see why. Straw bags come in every shape and size, color and style. While some are adorned with pom poms, others have taken on the more traditional shape and style of the classic handbag. I love that. The texture and woven material goes with everything and compliments the casual to the dressiest of looks. One of the other things I love about these bags is that they come in every price point. Oftentimes it’s hard to tell the more expensive bag from the least. I have several different straw bags of my own and love each and every one.
I find that even a business casual look can benefit from one of these beauties. I bought my straw bag above from a boutique but I have a similar look linked here.
I love the oversize straw bag look for a trip to the beach, pool, or even just for fun!

I’ve searched far and wide and collected some shoppable favorites in the collage below. I’m always on the hunt for a few new straw bags each season. Do you own a straw bag? What do you think of this trend? I would love for you to share in the comments!

Hi Kristy,
I didn’t want to bombard you on DM. I just saw your story and I feel terrible for you. You look so scared. I am so glad you’re OK and thankfully you were with your family. Take the time to rest. Praying for your speedy recovery
