Living in California has made it easy for Jeff and I to become obsessed with the indoor/outdoor way of life. Our San Francisco Bay Area weather is mild most of the time and even in January/February, when it’s the coldest.. we can sit outdoors with a throw and fire on. I can’t imagine not having a cozy spot outside to sit in to enjoy my morning cup of coffee or glass of wine with friends during the evening times.

For starters, if you look for ANYTHING on Restoration Hardware, from a blogger’s point of view on the internet, you won’t find much…  There are negative posts of course about the company, etc. I have read all. VERY informative. As a matter of fact, RH doesn’t do much in terms of advertising outside of their catalogs.

Happy Friday evening everyone,

I can’t believe we are just two weeks away from Thanksgiving! Because we are headed to China during the Thanksgiving holiday, I have been trying to get everything done ahead of time. Even decorating for Christmas. While most bloggers decorate early, I️ have always stuck to my guns and kept with our family tradition of decorating the day ‘after’ Thanksgiving.
While I️ love and appreciate celebrating each holiday separately, I have to say that the pay off is worth it for me this year.

To give you a little background on our new home..  It sits in a neighborhood we love and couldn’t wait to get into.  The house was built in 1996 and after 20-21 years with the original homeowners, it finally went on the market for the first time.

Loving my blue and white dining room makeover this winter!  I’ve been looking to refresh this space for quite awhile and finally decided to get on with it.. After attempting a different direction with color last summer I’ve fallen back to my true love of blue and white.  My home has an open floor plan making every room visible from one end of our home to other. Keeping things within the same color tone lends a seamless look and simply seems to work best within my home…

Approaching the space one of the first things I knew I wanted to do was replace my dining hutch with a piece that fit the niche better.
