I’ve been looking for a pillow to place in my daughter’s bedroom to add that cozy holiday feel when I stumbled upon West Elm’s 20% off pillow sale today…  West Elm always has a great selection of pillows and this year is no exception.   I was thrilled to find that they are carrying many of the shimmery icy pastel tones that I have sprinkled throughout my home.   Even though my daughter’s bedroom is decorated in an all white color scheme… she loves a pale splash of color and I knew that a soft blush color would look perfect.

I can’t believe the weekend is already over!  Time seems to be flying this Fall…  This past weekend my daughter, Emma came home from college and I can’t tell you how nice it was to have clothes and items strewn about in her room.  I love a clean house but what I treasure even more are the moments when my house is full of people and things aren’t always perfect.

Those of you who know me, you know how much I love color. When I began blogging and posting on Instagram, my home was filled with blue and green – from wall color to drapes I was the ‘it girl’ for blue spaces. Craving a clean slate and an opportunity to do something different and unexpected, I switched to all white on my walls and drapes to give me the clean canvas I desired.

Rather than color being the first thing you see when walking into my home, I wanted accents I could change with the seasons or just on a whim.
