I’ve been so excited about the warmer temperatures hitting the SF Bay Area that I feel Spring may last several months this year instead of the usual 2-3…   As a result I’m feeling the itch to decorate with brighter colors earlier than in past years and my newly painted white walls makes it more exciting to introduce change. White paint and a clean slate simply makes it too easy to not switch things up!

This season I was asked by HomeGoods to help them put together a special photo showcasing one of their beautiful Holiday Snow Globes to help contribute to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
I am so honored to have been asked and I wanted this special photo to reflect the bright and beautiful colors of the season that are reflected in this very festive globe.
St. Jude’s is a place that has made it their mission to try and help children and families through some of the most difficult of times…
I love that giving spirit and I’ll do everything I can each Holiday Season to help and take part.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and my girlfriend Sandi wanted help in elevating her sweet family room to a more ‘autumn welcoming space’ for her family this holiday.
We had so much fun bringing in some of the natural elements that pumpkins, wheat sprays, twig wreaths, fresh persimmons and oranges provide and mixed them with some of her existing pieces as well as interesting textural home decor from places like Target and Homegoods.

One of the things I love most about my girlfriend is that she adds DIY touches to make her existing pieces work.

The temps are cooling and I have to admit that while I’m trying very hard to not look too longingly back at summer,
I’m a warm weather girl at heart and live for the sun.
