Happy Friday evening everyone,

I can’t believe we are just two weeks away from Thanksgiving! Because we are headed to China during the Thanksgiving holiday, I have been trying to get everything done ahead of time. Even decorating for Christmas. While most bloggers decorate early, I️ have always stuck to my guns and kept with our family tradition of decorating the day ‘after’ Thanksgiving.
While I️ love and appreciate celebrating each holiday separately, I have to say that the pay off is worth it for me this year.

I’m in love with Townpool’s Nantucket.  Not many of you know this but I grew up on the East Coast, Washington DC to be exact.  I love the East for it’s history, stunning sunrises and the many beaches and islands which are spectacular… especially during the warmer summer months.   I’ve had the fortunate experience of traveling to one of my favorite states, Massachusetts many times.  I’ve gone to the Berkshires quite a bit as well as Boston and it’s surrounding areas from my days spent with long layovers as a Flight Attendant.

I admire so many incredibly talented people that I’ve gotten to know through Instagram…  One very special stand out grabbed my attention last year with her style and heart. Melaine Thompson of ‘My Sweet Savannah’  is one of the best DIY bloggers I know, always inspiring and ALWAYS creative.  I keep telling her that she is killing me with her amazing talent. She not only uses power tools which I think is extremely cool but she comes up with some of the best ideas ever and makes them look easy!

I am dying over the incredible office that my friend, Sarah Stewart from Life on Virginia Street has put together. You know how caught up I’ve been on trying to transform my daughter’s bedroom into a hubby/man cave for my husband… Well, this room has inspired me more than I can say. So much floral inspiration with talented designer, Tulipina…
I have been enamored with flowers for as long as I can remember…  As a young girl I grew up with parents who loved to garden.  We had incredible rose gardens that filled our yard and home with large glorious blooms and strong fragrances.  My Mom was always entertaining and flowers were a huge part of her decorating style.  I have since followed suit and as a result my home is always full of flowers…  either fresh from my own garden or the local market.
