This December has been a bit of a whirlwind… The month began with my house still recovering from a complete ‘overhaul’ on paint color.
I repainted everything to ‘all white’.
I had a houseful of guests staying for the entire Thanksgiving week which didn’t allow me time to decorate until the following week… EEK!
Half of what I had in Christmas decor from years past was centered on my previous blue paint color so I began shopping… and shopping.

I haven’t given you a BIG personal Autumn Tour simply because I enjoy adding my seasonal touches little by little instead.
I’m always looking to bring in special pieces here and there and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing this year.
Throughout the next couple of months I’ll continue to search for decor that I find is either a great deal or is something that makes a space feel more alive and shouts FALL.

White is the most overlooked color…

While decorating for the 4th of July this week I’ve found that I’m reminded of how much I love the color white.
White sets everything off perfectly… from primary colors to pastels.

White makes you notice the details.
All of a sudden things have more texture when they are in shades of white.

It’s interesting how something so basic and so clean looking with
‘lack of color’ can make everything else look more interesting and complex.
