Loving this pastel Christmas tree and I’m so excited to share this space with you. I’ve always wanted to add a full-sized Christmas tree to one of my bedrooms and because I decided to decorate earlier this year.. I finally had the time to do it! Also, with guests arriving over the next couple of weeks.. I added some holiday bedroom decor pieces to welcome them in the spirit of Christmas. Hope you enjoy!

Honestly, this tree was extremely easy for me to pull together. Would you believe that Emma and I decorated the tree in under an hour? Because this is a bedroom tree, we decided to keep it simple and keep with the traditionally shaped ball ornaments. All we had to do was decide what color to place and where.. easy and fun for us!
I surprised Emma by stepping outside my normal neutral tones and went with a mix of pastel colored ornaments such as green, blues and light pinks. I had no idea how much I would love the color combination until I saw the finished result.. it may be my favorite yet! I don’t know what it is about pastels.. I used to associate the colors with children’s bedrooms and nurseries, but now I’m finally getting it. They are the soft happy tones.
My tree is a 7.5′ flocked Frasier Fir that I purchased from Balsam Hill. I have bought many trees from them over the years and love the quality. The ornaments are a mix of finds from Homegoods, Hobby Lobby, Nordstrom and random places. I’ve linked a few similar styles to help you achieve the same look below:

Instead of using the traditional tree skirt I placed my favorite chunky wool throw around the base of the tree and love the texture and softness it brings to the space. It’s hand-braided and makes the best great gift! I still love tree skirts, but as of lately I’ve been using throw blankets and pedestal style Christmas tree stands more and more. I simply love the way the textures of the throws and the heights of the stands look over using a flat skirt. Click here to shop my chunky wool throw.
I always place a few presents and other holiday decor pieces around the base of my trees to help fill the empty void. One of my favorite accent pieces that I like to use in the guest bedroom is to place a gorgeous holiday bouquet underneath as a surprise. The one here is full of white lilies and tulips. I love the way these flowers look and smell. This bouquet is from Stargazer Barn, my go-to floral company based in Northern California. They are known for their incredible tulips and lilies and have incredible gift box options including wine, chocolate, and coffee! Their prices are amazing and they can ship anywhere in the U.S. If you plan to order your a bouquet.. make sure to use code kristywicks18 to receive 20% off.
The flowers are placed inside one of my FAVORITE ginger jars from Lo Home. (Lauren Haskell has a large variety of color options and all are beautiful). The jars make great vases, decor accents and more. Use code KRISTY15 to get 15% off everything in her shop including the jars. Click here to shop.
On top of my garden stool sits my HOLIDAY CANDLE COLLECTION! Did you know that I have one? So exciting.. I came out with a fun candle collection with one of my favorite small shops, Hazel Candle Co. and they are incredible. The best smelling Christmas candles I have ever smelled. They come in fun craft brown gift boxes wrapped with ribbon and make the PERFECT Christmas or holiday gift! I wrote a blog post all about my fun Christmas candle collection.. click here to learn more… and to order a gift set for friends or family.
To bring Christmas to our guest bed, I added a strand of my favorite faux garland of the season to the headboard. The garland is easy to use, bendable/pliable, very soft and so realistic looking! Like my mantel, I wrapped the garland with copper twinkle lights. Love that they have a timer, and can turn on/off on their own.

As to the bedding, I kept everything soft, neutral, and soothing. Since there was so much going on with the tree, I kept the bed clean and uncluttered. My guest bedding is one of my all-time favorites – love the stitching on the quilt and ruched throw laying on the end of the bed! I have 2 of these throws throughout my home and plan to send more as gifts… Warm and cozy wins always. The furry present is from Hobby Lobby and unfortunately sold out online. Maybe you’ll have better luck finding one at your local store. I’m shocked at how fast the hottest items are selling out this year.

Whenever anyone comes to visit, I think leaving a tray with seasonal snacks, tea, and little decor pieces is always fun. My guests enjoy that.
On the side table, I carried the blush tones from the pastel Christmas tree. I added a glittered pinecone candle, pink glass tree and pastel ornaments in a marble box to bring color to the space. All are unlinkable unfortunately.. but it’s easy to find similar looking items at any of your local stores! Tuesday Morning, Homegoods, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or even Pottery Barn are a few of my favorites.
I didn’t mention a rug.. because my room is bare as of now! I’m still searching for the right rug that will give me the winter look and feel that I’m craving. When I find it, I’ll make sure to share. :)
I always have so much fun decorating a space for my guests.. You don’t have to go overboard with holiday decor in a bedroom… but it’s always nice welcoming your friends and family with a beautiful, cozy space that reflects the special cozy feelings of the season.
xo,
Kristy
