So fun having a daughter… Especially one that loves to decorate as much as me. ;)
Emma is moving into her 1st Apt. with sorority sisters for her 2nd year of college and wanted to update the look of her bedroom. We’ve been running around like crazy
(doesn’t everyone wait until the last week?)
and found all of these beautiful items at Homegoods and TJMAXX. Unfortunately I won’t be able to show you the ‘Final’ reveal until later in the semester as she is completing her move-in all on her own this time around… ;)
Instead, I thought I’d show you the look she is going for by using her bed at home so you can get an idea of how everything will look at school…
I couldn’t display everything as she’s packed so much already.
One of my favorite items she found that isn’t pictured is a beautiful Chinoiserie urn in all the colors you see that will sit on an adjacent dresser.
She also still needs to find a large gallery picture or 2 to place above her bed. Other than those items, she’s pretty much done. :)
Thanks Liz! I love the colors too. She had some help from her incredible Aunt who she adores… :) They had a direction from the get go! I just followed and paid. ;) Thanks for commenting! Hugs! xo
Having a daughter is awesome. Mine is five and so very girly like me. I can’t wait to see the completed look. I love gray, and the coral really looks good with it!
I love this combo too! So beautiful and I know she was ready to try something other than blue and white… ;) Thanks so much for commenting and good luck with your daughter! You’re in the sweet years. :) Hugs! xo
Thank you Jen! Emma said to tell you she also appreciates your sweet words. :)
So sad when she left today… I can’t imagine where summer went? Hugs! xoxo
Ha! Will do Robyn. She is so funny! I tried to influence her on a large picture for over the bed but she’d have ‘none’ of it! ;) She definitely is a girl with her own mind AND taste! Lol Hugs and thanks so much for commenting!
Well, the apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree! Emma has gorgeous taste, just like you!! I love the combo of coral and gray. Can’t wait to see more! Best of luck to Emma on her sophomore year of college!
Thanks Lisa! She DOES have great taste I’ll admit. ;) Whether it’s all from me… well, she may say otherwise. Lol Hugs to you this Friday and thanks again for being so sweet! xoxo
Hi Jessica! We found the Duvet at Homegoods and it’s from Max Studio. It was just $34.99 for the Full/Queen duvet with standard shams included! :) The sheets are from Calvin Klein, also found at Homegoods. The throw and pillows are from both Homegoods and Tjmaxx. Hope that helps! Hugs! xo
Hi Rebecca! I have a post with all my paints on the Homepage titled, My paint Colors. It’s a Restoration Hardware paint named ‘Glacier’. I LOVE IT! It’s so light and soft without looking baby blue. :) Hope that helps! xoxo
I have 3 daughters and they all love girly things and love to decorate. So reading your posts gets me excited for what’s ot come later on when they are older. @FITNESSNLIFESTYLE
