I’m in love with this beautiful kitchen designed by talented designer, Thomas Hamel.  It’s both classic yet sleek and on trend.  The first thing I couldn’t help but notice immediately upon seeing this kitchen is the incredible attention to architectural detail.  The cutouts in the ceiling and skylights above are amazing.  I love light and bright spaces and this added luxury is a beautiful surprise.

I’ve been posting about white kitchens more and more lately for a number of reasons…  Not only are they my favorite look but my girlfriend is installing hers as we speak and I’ve been helping her choose the materials.  I’m loving everything she’s picking and I keep warning her that if she keeps adding all of my favorite things I’m going to have move in once everything is finished.  ;)  She wanted a clean, timeless look and so she has chosen Shaker style cabinets, a built in fridge, a long 9 ft island with gorgeous gray granite countertop, white subway tiles and a complete upscale on her appliances.

There are so many summer sales that are occurring right now and I was thrilled to see some of my favorite pendant lights among them.  Kitchen updates are all the rage and there is nothing like the addition of a new pendant over your sink, island or kitchen table to take things to a whole other level.  I love what my girlfriend, Becki from Becki Owens Designs has done by including a few unique pendants in her kitchen renovations.
