One of the most affordable and impactful steps in this renovation has been installing smart switches. Lighting sets the mood for everything from dinner parties, cozy nights in, great photos, cleaning… you name it, the right light can make such a difference. We ordered the Caséta by Lutron switches and once we used them for a week we ordered more for the rest of the house because we liked them so much.

It’s two months into 2019 and I’ve already completed a couple of resolutions. Yay! Last year I wanted to organize my master bedroom closet but never got around to it.. so this year I made it priority #1.

I was surprised to find that it didn’t really take as much time or effort as I thought it would. When it came down to it, I was able to transform my entire closet using 5 different ideas and tools from Walmart.

New Year = New Opportunities for change. I’m approaching 2018 with a fresh start – not only for my mental & physical health, but also my home. I love an elegant mantel that doesn’t dominate a room but instead enhances the space with it’s style and decor.  Keeping things light and airy, not too fussy or cluttered is what I’m all about.  A lover of symmetry, I center just about everything. I am drawn toward the simpler, tailored style mantels that allow me room to breath.  It’s funny, as much as I love rooms stuffed to the gills with Christmas decor, when it comes to my own home I like to keep things on the simpler side.
