Jeff's Lemon Drop Recipe

Perfect Lemon Drop Martini

Ingredients

  • 2 Oz Absolut Citron Vodka
  • 1/2 Oz DeKuyper Triple Sec
  • 1 Oz Stirrings Simple Syrup - Other brands can be substituted if they use Cane sugar!
  • 1 Oz 'RealLemon' brand Lemon Juice -
  • 1 Lemon Wedge for Garnish - And to wet the rim of the glass
  • 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar - To sugar the rim of the glass
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. We use 'Martini' style glasses for our Lemon drops, but any glass will work just fine!

     

  2. On a plate, pour sugar in a circle about the width of the glass you will use.  Use the lemon wedge to wet the rim of the glass on both the inside and outside of the rim - About 1/8in wide.  Turn the glass upside down and place the rim into the sugar and move around to evenly coat.

     

  3. Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice and add vodka, triple sec, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake well and pour into the sugar lined glass.  

     

    Hint: Adding the vodka first will help keep the ice from sticking together in the shaker...

     

  4. Add a lemon wedge for garnish and enjoy!
