Cook Time 35 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz Cinnamon Bread Loaf - I use Trader Joe's Hand Twisted Cinnamon Sugar Bread
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar - Divided
  • 6 Large Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Half & Half
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Karo Syrup
  • 1 Stick Butter Melted - Divided
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon - Divided
  • Pinch Salt

Maple Cinnamon Glaze

  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Milk
  • 2 Tsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees. Cut cinnamon bread into 8 equal thick slices and set aside. Note: Any cinnamon bread should work, even a pre-sliced loaf if that is all your local store has available

  2. Spray 13 x 9 baking dish liberally with baking spray, then pour 1/2 of the melted butter (about 1/2 stick) into the bottom of the dish and spread. (Save the remaining butter for the drizzle)

  3. Mix 1/4 cup brown sugar with 1/4 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle onto the butter in the baking dish

  4. In a medium bowl whisk eggs until smooth, then mix in half & half, milk, 1/2 cup brown sugar, vanilla and pinch of salt

  5. Arrange bread slides in baking dish in an overlapping pattern. Pour egg mixture over the top moving the slices around to help get each side evenly coating

  6. In a small bowl mix karo syrup, remaining melted butter (about 1/2 stick), 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon.  Randomly drizzle over the bread pieces.

  7. Let sit for 30 minutes up to over night in the refrigerator.

Bake for 35 mins or until golden brown

  8. While the bread is baking, in a small bowl mix all of the glaze ingredients until smooth.  Drizzle the glaze on top of each serving and enjoy this new family favorite!
