Spring Home Tour 2015

Hi Everyone!
So excited for you to drop by for a little Spring Home Tour today along with links to 24 other Home Tours.

I adore Spring and always do everything I can to bring the outdoors in.   I hope you are prepared for a flower fest full of color along with light walls and fabrics…  all of which are accented by vibrant art work and home decor.  I’ve been given a few special pieces of art to go along with a BIG change you may notice if you’ve been following my Blog for awhile.   I’ve repainted my entire interior except for a couple of the bedrooms to a crisp white and I love it!

The beautiful pieces of art that you are sure to notice hanging on my walls have been given to me by two very talented artist friends.  I’m honored to have met both through Instagram and I admire and adore their work.  Maria Kamara painted the gorgeous abstract piece hanging above the console in the foyer using all of my favorite colors and Mari Robeson has given me 6 very beautiful watercolor prints from her incredible Chinoiserie collection.  Each one is special and I’m crazy about all!

A little about me before we begin the tour…

For those who aren’t familiar with my story, I began blogging a year ago and have loved every minute of this new adventure.  I’ve learned so much from all of you and tons more from my talented Interior Designer friends.  This whole process has been such a  journey!

My family and I live in the cutest town in Northern California, about 25 minutes from San Francisco. There are kids on every corner and parents ready and willing to host the next weekend barbecue…
We wanted our daughter to have the chance to do all the fun things we were able to do while growing up… ride bikes to school, learn how to swim at the Community pool and play outside until dark.  It may sound a little corny but that’s exactly how it is and we are fine with it.

Enjoy my little tour.  You may notice little Cal helped with many of the pics… :)

    1. Thanks so much Lauren! That’s so sweet of you. It’s a pretty special place I have to admit. Have a great Thursday! xo

  1. It’s perfect!!! You know how much I love your home! I love how bright and happy it feels!! Happy spring Kristy!

  2. I love it!! So bright and fresh and airy and I love all the pops of colour. Those pillows on your sofa are divine – I was ogling over that fabric for months for our master bedroom; it is so pretty!! Thanks for all of the stunning design inspiration!! Fun to be on this tour with you:)

  3. Such a lovely home you created, Kristy. may I ask what color you used on the front door its stunning!
I am interested in your swiss coffee for trim. We had used Benjamin Moore Swiss coffee as recommended on line as a bright white, and its not….Its dull and grayish. Good thing we only did one door in the kitchen.

  4. Your home is lovely and your town sounds like paradise! Can you share the source for your white dining table?

    1. Hi Julie… :) My DR table is from Pottery Barn. I found it on an incredible sale several years ago and love how it really brightens the space. Thanks and have a great week! xoxo

  5. As I was reading about you, I was delighted to find out we live in the same hometown!!! I love how you’ve decorated your home…it’s so crisp and refreshing, the colors just pop against the white background!

    1. Thanks so much Karen! How great is our sweet town? Thanks so much for dropping by and letting me know what you think… so thoughtful of you! Hugs and have a great Wednesday! xoxo

  6. Love your home Kristy! It’s the perfect blend of style, comfort and coziness!! Great choice on that Swiss Coffee paint color – it’s so fresh! This is exactly what I love about bloggiing – getting to discover new beautiful blogs like your’s and getting to know other bloggers better!! It’s been so fun to join you in this Spring home tour series!! Happy Spring! ~ Heather

    1. Thank you so much Heather! You are so sweet and I really appreciate your beautiful comments. I have been having so much fun touring everyone’s homes as well and hope to finish looking the next day or two. You’re so encouraging and I’m really looking forward to learning more from all of you! xoxo

  7. I love your sense of style and color choices. My sister lives not too far from you in Danville CA. I visit as often as I’m able. It’s such a beautiful area.

    1. Thanks so much Kathy! Thanks for dropping by… You’re so sweet! So great that your sister lives in Danville. I adore Danville and go as often as I can… :)

  8. Hi! I love your home and the gorgeous colors. Can you please tell me where you found the striped rug in your family room? Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Debbie! Thanks so much!! That rug is from Dash and Albert. I adore all their rugs and colors! xoxo

  9. Hi, I adore your style and was wondering what color white you went with in your home?

    Very soft and not stark.

    Thank you~
    Jennifer

    1. Hi Jennifer. I went with Kelly Moore Swiss Coffee which is a white I already painted on my molding and ceilings. Most of the builders out in California use it for their white and I simply didn’t want to take days testing out the whites some of my friends love. I knew I already was a fan so it was the easiest thing. It isn’t too cold nor is it a yellowy warm… It’s the perfect shade for my home. Hugs!

  10. HI! Your home is beautiful. I have been trying to track down that floral fabric on your couch pillows and cannot find it! Can you help? Thanks!
