Must Have Athletic Shoes & Clothes + Healthy Recipes

Must Have Athletic Shoes & Clothes | Kristy Wicks

Hi Friends! It’s January 11th and I just wanted to check in with all of you on your health goals. Have you started being a healthier you yet? If not – today is the day. There is no time like the present.  That may sound cliché, but I really mean it. It’s two weeks into 2018 and I’m sure that there are many of you who would like to begin taking charge of your physical well being, but you’re embarrassed or avoiding the subject. I know what that’s like by personal experience.. I am queen of avoidance. My approach this year? Don’t let anything hold you back.

Last week I talked about my health goals for 2018. While I have good intentions to follow through on everything – I have already been sick and had to take a couple of days off from my new workout routine. So frustrating! Instead of bailing on my new lifestyle I’m determined to stay the course. If there is one thing that I have learned over the years, it’s that there will always be something going on in our lives. The important thing is to stay focused on whatever goals we have and do the best we can to accomplish them. Let me know how you’re doing with your healthy lifestyle in the comment section below and share with me your how your helpful tips keep you on track.

Shop the shoes:

Nordstrom reached out and asked if I would pull together several of my favorite workout shoes to help kickstart your year. The funny thing is, I actually worked at Nordstrom as a seasonal worker several years ago.. in the Active Wear Department! Of course you know what that means – not only did I end up filling my closet with amazing workout wear, but I also went crazy in the shoe department. ;) So when Nordstrom asked me to partner with them – I was thrilled!!

It’s so important to have comfortable and stylish athletic shoes for the gym, running errands, yoga class, hiking, and more. Years ago, I used one pair of running shoes for everything, but since then I have learned that there are specific shoes for each type of activity. For example, it’s not safe for your body to use yoga shoes to run a half marathon! I’ve rounded up a variety of athletic shoes in the cutest and newest styles for you in the collage below as well as some of my favorite workout clothes & accessories.

  2. I absolutely love roasted cauliflower , today I tired a new recipe and it was so easy, dip individual piece of cauliflower into beaten egg, then cote with flour ( I used rice flour because I’m gluten free) then cote it in hot sauce, bake at 450 for 18 mins….it’s a play on buffalo chicken wings. Yum! Also love the work out clothing post, it’s awesome to find affordable cute clothing!
